When does childhood end?
By Vidas Pinkevicius (get free updates of new posts here)
Remember your childhood?
Everything was new. The world was full of possibilities.
Perhaps you loved to draw or dance or sing or play an instrument.
Perhaps you loved to explore new things just for the sake of exploration.
Then you went to school, right?
There they took your crayons from you and told you to sit in straight rows, raise your hand when you wanted to ask a question.
It's no wonder why it's way easier to follow instructions than to figure out what to do next.
It's no wonder why it's tempting to wait for permission than to jump in and get started.
But you can undo this by training yourself by learning when to say "Yes" and "No".
"Yes" to spontaneity, creativity, risk-taking, and fruitful failures.
"No" to perfectionism, regrets, obedience, and hiding.
Stay curious. Stay playful. Stay genius.
