This is a colourful meditation on the well-known hymn tune Old Hundredth. I created this piece as part of the tutorial for channel members on how to write more colourful harmony. The unity of the composition is achieved by the two-measure refrain which appears between hymn phrases. The harmony explores both G major and G minor modes using spicy 4 note and 5 note chords. This piece will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and recitals whenever contemplative music is desired. I recorded it on the Marcussen organ at St. Nicolai church in Svendborg, Denmark. Thanks to Ausra for filming!
