This is a Meditation on the hymn tune Franconia. It is a gentle composition which is written in the key of D major. The chorale tune is presented twice in the right hand part and it alternates with the phrases of the refrain. In the first verse the melody is played by a solo voice but the second time the texture thickens into three-note chords. It also reaches climax because the range and dynamic level increases but the piece ends quietly as in the beginning. This composition will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and recital programs. I recorded it using Hauptwerk Velesovo sample set.
