I. Allegro from Piano Sonata No.16 in C major, K.54 | Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart | Flemish Harpsichord
When our friend Rien Schalkwijk visited Vilnius earlier this year, I took him to see some of the most beautiful organs in the city. One of the places we visited was Palace of Great Dukes which is a wonderful museum and has a lovely chest organ made by Janis Kalnins and a delightful Flemish 18th century style harpsichord, built in the workshop of TItus Crijnen (copy after H. Ruckers (1624), Spain (2013). On this colourful instrument I played I. Allegro from Piano Sonata No.16 in C major, K.54 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Thanks to Rien for being my cameraman! Thanks to Vytautas Gailevičius for letting us play at the Palace! Hope you will enjoy it!
