If you check email for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have read about 5475 emails. You'll get better at responding at the emergencies of other people. If you scroll through social media ocean for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have scrolled through about 21900 posts. You'll get better at looking at other people's feeds. If you watch TV for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have consumed about 1825 commercials. You'll get better at sitting on your couch and inhaling moving pictures that somebody sends your way. If you sit in the meetings for 90 minutes every week, at the end of the year you will have 75 hours of sitting in the meeting practice. You'll get better at doing risk-free work of fitting in and trying to make the ego of your boss bigger. If you spend listening to gossips of your colleagues for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have an ocean of complains on your shoulders. You'll get better at feeding people at their negative emotions. If you read a book for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have read about 8.5 books. You'll get better at focusing for longer periods of time without a need for visual distraction. If you take a walk for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have walked about 365 miles. That's a longer distance than Bach walked from Arnstadt to Lubeck to learn from Buxtehude and you'll have burned about 36500 calories (about 120 hamburgers). If you practice organ playing for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have 75 hours of organ playing practice. You'll get better at playing the instrument you love more than enough repertoire for one public recital. If you practice drawing for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have about 365 drawings. You'll get better at using your mind's eye and noticing the world around you. If you practice improvising on the organ for 15 minutes every day, at the end of the year you will have learned many modes, rhythms, harmonies, textures, and forms. You'll get better at expressing your creativity, having inner peace and dealing with uncertainty. The good thing is that nobody can tell you what to do with those 15 minutes you have in your day. That's also a scary thing, isn't it?
