That's the number of hours average people passively watch TV in one day, in one week, in one month, in one year, and during their lifetime (actually it's even more than that). Pretty scary, isn't it?
Why TV and online videos are so addictive?
The answer is desensitization. Moving pictures on the screen keep our brain occupied. At first it's really fun. But if we do it for too long - we will forget everything we knew about creativity, bravery, and communication. We will become bad news-eating zombie whose only worry is how miserable our existence is. Because it's easier to complain than to figure out what to do next.
Luckily, the cure for this is built in into any TV set. Let's turn it off and we'll become action-takers.
