Yesterday I went to VU St John's church to record a newly composed piece by Graham Twist, chorale prelude: 'Repton' but after a few minutes of practicing this beautiful chorale prelude my right hand started to ache and I decided to stop. The tracker action at the church organ is quite heavy and it's not easy to play 2 voices perfectly legato in a lot of places of Graham's composition for me, especially where the right hand has wide intervals. Perhaps it's meant to be played on a different type of keyboard, like the one Graham is playing at home. To protect my hands I didn't think I could record this piece but today when I sat at the bench of our Hauptwerk setup I was able to do it. Obviously because the action is much lighter. Hope you will enjoy the sounds of Sweelinq Kam Organ! Please write to the composer if you want to get the score: grahamstwist@gmail.com Thank you for your support!
