Bicinium on Away in a Manger, Op. 191 | Vidas Pinkevicius | Palace of the Grand Dukes in Vilnius
This is a Bicinium on a beloved Christmas carol Away in a Manger. It's notated on two staves and could be played on small organs (even on one manual chamber organ). The right hand staves plays the tune and the left hand plays the accompaniment and refrain which connects the phrases of the hymn. This piece will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and recitals whenever contemplative music is desired. Dedicated to Scott Werdebaugh. I recorded on the beautiful positive organ by Janis Kalnins at Palace of the Grand Dukes. Hope you will enjoy it!
