Today I'd like to share with you my rendition of Concert Piece in D Minor, Op. 36 No. 1 by Ādams Ore (1855-1927), Latvian Romantic composer. In this dramatic composition we can hear lot's of influences of German Romantic composers, such as Felix Mendelssohn and Joseph Rheinberger. I recorded it at Liepaja Holy Trinity Cathedral which has the world's largest tracker organ with 4 manuals and 131 stops built J. H. Joachim!/H. A. Contius/K. P. O. Hermann/K. A. Hermann/B. Grüneberg (completed in 1885). Thanks so much to our friend Jānis Kalniņš for facilitating this fantastic visit and to Ausra for filming this video!
