If you are interested in organ improvisation, the knowledge of ancient (or diatonic) modes is indispensable. In this video, I will teach you about the modes with 7 notes (heptatonic) and with 5 notes (pentatonic).
Although the names of these modes (Ionian, Dorian, Frygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian, and Pentatonic) might be confusing to you, the system behind this is very simple. Just watch this video and I promise they will start to make sense to you.
