Over the last year my friend James Flores from Australia introduced me to quite a few fun Trumpet Tunes through his videos by contemporary composers. I also played a couple of trumpet tunes myself. These were fine works by Angela Kraft Cross and Graham Twist. Recently James suggested I compose my own. So a few days ago I gave it a try and today I'm ready to share with you the score. It's dedicated to James Flores. I modelled the form after Prelude from Te Deum by Marc-Antoine Charpentier: AABBACA but added my own harmonic twists: the keys change periodically within each episode and all the chords are some form of 7th chords. Hope you will enjoy it! Soon I will make my own recording using my Hauptwerk setup but for now Sibelius-generated sounds will do. What will you get? PDF score. 6 pages. Intermediate level. This score is free for Total Organist students. Good luck in your practice and let me know how it goes. Check it out here
