The first month of the year has gone by and 11 more are coming up in 2014. It's time to evaluate the progress you made so far and think if this progress is sufficient to achieve your goals by the end of the year.
You do have goals, right? Because otherwise how can you achieve anything in organ playing?
Are you happy with your progress or something needs to change? If what you are doing is working, that's great but if not - you need to stop for a few minutes and think about it.
I've seen people give up organ playing simply because they don't achieve anything and it's getting more and more boring to sit down to play. So they switch to something else.
I don't want you to make such a mistake.
If you feel that organ practice matters a lot to you, I want to see you succeed. But for this you have to have a goal, a plan to achieve it, and the specific steps which eventually should lead you to your destination. Write them down.
What is your next step toward achieving your goal this year?

Don't have an organ at home?
Download paper manuals and pedals, print them out, cut the white spaces, tape the sheets together and you'll be ready to practice anywhere where is a desk and floor. Make sure you have a higher chair.
