I tend to do my most creative work early in the morning. It can be organ playing, practicing, improvising, writing, drawing. Anything which puts me into creator mode. I put off consumer mode for later. This can be reading, doing other things which don't require much mental energy. Such as being busy or running errands. Of course, life is messy, unpredictable, and often challenges occur which require to accommodate my actions. But whatever happens during the day, at least I know I've accomplished something of value. And yes, this requires me to get up early. Earlier than I need to. You may ask, why early in the morning? Is there any difference when to create/practice/write/improvise/draw? The truth is, unless I create something, I can't function well during the day. Something's not right. I really feel some sort of pain. I'm out of balance internally. And I only regain this balance when I create. What about you? When do you put on your creator's hat?
