My friend Irineo is wondering whether composing your own music and performing them in public is what will make an organist stand out from the crowd. It's actually harder than it sounds because people first have to COME to such recital. They will only come if they have a shortage of your works, if your fan's first thought in the morning is "I wonder what Irineo is composing today", if you will be missed if you no longer show up. And actually to be missed starts with showing up. Not the other way around. [Thanks to Irineo]
