By Vidas Pinkevicius (get free updates of new posts here) From the mountains and forests of Puerto Rico here comes another storytelling improvisation recital I played last Saturday at Vilnius University St. John's church - the Legend About the Hummingbird. This was a spontaneous musical poem based on the Puertorican legend about two young people who fell in love but were never meant to be together. The gods made them into a hummingbird and a red flower. Here's the story itself. I didn't know if hummingbirds make any kind of sounds besides humming so I took a few creative liberties here and there. I hope you will recognize the loneliness of the moon also. Enjoy the video. (Here are all my improvisations in one convenient playlist - 29 so far!). PS Let me know, if you want to chat about a storytelling improvisation recital for your organisation.
