Sometimes I observe my students how they perform during organ lessons and I feel that some of them are very much concerned about getting the highest grades (A or 100 percent). In Lithuania, we use the 10 point system (with the highest grade being 10).
So these students might be very happy if they get 9 or 10. But sometimes if they get 6, 7 or even 8, they might be very disappointed and confused about their value as a person.
If they get 10 - they feel very good about themselves. If they get 5 or 6 - they feel like they are not worth very much as a person.
If you are in this situation or if you worry about how other people view your work when you play the organ for others, watch this video.
