There are people who choose to do work that matters, who say "follow me" or "I did it - you can do it too." They are vulnerable, generous, and more human. They are the kind of people who don't hesitate, who close the door, if they feel that it's cold for somebody.
And there are those who wait, who are paralyzed by fear, who lack faith in the goodness of people. They don't believe it's their turn, they don't think they can change anything. They choose to brake promises and walk on the shoulders of others.
The first kind of people are writing novels while the second kind is busy fixing typos.
We will never be criticized for fixing typos. It's fast, easy, and cheap. For writing novels, we might get in trouble big time. And yet, it seems worth the risk, isn't it?
