Would you like to dig deep into the process of harmonizing a melody in 4 parts? Are you curious to know about the advanced way to modulate to remote keys using a D7 chord as a pivot?
Would you like to know how to use various musical cadences in your harmonizations and/or improvisations?
If so, these 4 video trainings are for you. Here is what you will receive immediately after your payment:
1. How to harmonize a melody in 4 parts (43 minutes)
Here I will show you my process of creating a colorful harmonization to a melody in B minor (in 3/4 meter). We will use basic T, S, and D chords, their inversions and D7 chord and its inversions.
2. Harmonization of a melody in B flat major (40 minutes)
Another training of the similar kind but in a major key and 4/4 meter.
3. Creating modulation from F minor to E minor (60 minutes)
A smart way to move from one key to another using D7 chord as a pivot (a common chord for two distant keys). This technique will allow you to give your harmonizations a genuine Romantic color (Franck, Guilmant, Reger, Widor and others used it all the time).
4. About various cadences (32 minutes)
Creating a cadence is a critical tool in ending a musical idea but there is a great variety of them in music and you should know their characteristics and when to use each of them. Indispensable for anyone interested in organ improvisation and/or composition.
PRICE: $49 USD

Here's what customers are saying:
"I found the fingerings, registration ideas, and general comments to be excellent" - Robert
"I have found your download very helpful! It was really excellent! I have watched some of your teaching videos, and when I read your instructions, I try to imagine you are there teaching me! You may feel disappointed that I am ~2-3 days behind, but I am a slow learner, and I have committed to taking the time to get it right as you say. But the other night my wife commented that she had never heard me play such a detailed melody in the left hand so well! (my left hand is generally poor!)" - John
"Dear Vidas. I just got through learning your practice score of Benedicamus from Tabulatura Nova, by Scheidt. I used your practice schedule and it is an excellent approch to learning any composition. I like all the performance practice information you include in this score. Best wishes." - Frank
Vidas Pinkevicius, DMA
