We write out outlines and blueprints. We notate every figure and theme and idea. And we practice, memorize, and transpose.
As if we ARE the creators of our improvisations.
And yet our best improvisations tend to be the ones when we actually don't remember what we did back then or why. Only when we watch the video or listen to our recording we discover the magic that just happened.
It takes fine tuning of our antennas to receive the music wherever it comes from.
And this feeling might be quite short and temporary. In the midst of our creation something more powerful is at play.
Perhaps the Muse (or however we might call her) is flying by and decides that we are worthy now?
